Being the state capital, Raleigh is a political, economic, social, and education hub of the state. As for education, Raleigh is home to both NC State and Meredith College, and carries several museums such as North Carolina’s Natural History, History, Kids, and Art Museum. 

Additionally in the realm of entertainment, music lovers flock to Raleigh for the Lenovo Center, which also functions to support hockey for the Hurricanes, and for NC State's Men's basketball team.
