Katharine Hayhoe

Katharine Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist studying one of the most pressing issues we face today, climate change. She is a professor of political science at Texas Tech University, where she is also the director of the Climate Science Center. In 2021, Hayhoe joined the Nature Conservancy as the Chief Scientist. What makes Hayhoe so intriguing is that she is a Canadian evangelical Christian. Science and religion often work against each other, but Hayhoe is able to be an example of how religion and science can work together. Hayhoe is known for her climate communication, especially with the Christian communities. Some even call here “the best communicator on climate change.” Featured below are two of her most popular videos on how to talk about climate change, and the four published books she has co-authored on. Hayhoe is the leading example of a religious climatologist. To learn more about Katharine Hayhoe check out her website: http://www.katharinehayhoe.com/
