Climate Resilience
Climate resilience can be described as the ability to prepare, and respond to hazardous events caused by the climate. Climate resilience progression involves assessing the future effects that climate change will have on the local populations and what steps need to be taken to best cope with these risks. Climate Resilience is often associated with increase in frequency and intensity of major weather events like hurricanes, floods, or wildfires. As greenhouse gases continue to increase, these devastating natural forces will continue to worsen. However, well thought out resiliency planning can help mitigate the damages to vulnerable areas.
This section shows both big and small climate resiliency efforts along Highway 64. Whether
it is gathering a list of amazing local farmer’s markets for your road trip or watching expert interviews on climate resiliency, the Climate Resilience page is the place to be for anything
you would want to know! Check out the different sections for more information!
